Admission to the Beyer Clock and Watch Museum
Description
One of the most important private clock collections can be found in the Beyer Clock Museum. Around 260 precious pieces show the history of timekeeping from 1400 BC to the present day: from sundials and water clocks from sun and water clocks, tower clocks, Renaissance automata, magnificent pendulums, pocket watches in ornate cases to the prototype of the first quartz wristwatch. Even scientific devices for navigation are also part of the exhibition. Some very fragile machines can only be put into operation very rarely. Thanks to video recordings these artistic masterpieces can also be admired in motion. In addition, the information about most of the watches on display on iPads in six languages.
